About me:
Welcome! I am an outpatient therapist currently working towards Pennsylvania state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I earned my Bachelor of Science in Applied Behavioral Science from Penn State University in 2015 and graduated from Lock Haven University with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2021. I completed my clinical internship at the Lock Haven University Counseling Center where I provided counseling services for college students and obtained experience working with individuals with a wide variety of mental health needs. During this time, I facilitated groups for mindfulness, creative arts therapy, and sleep improvement. After graduation, I immediately began working toward state licensure doing outpatient therapy in a private practice setting. I have experience working with couples, children, adolescents, adults, and college students. In April of 2022 I began practicing under the direct clinical supervision of Kenneth Englund, LPC and joined Best Life Counseling in Lewisburg, PA. It is my hope to assist in providing accessible, affirming, non-pathologizing care to the Lewisburg community and beyond. What to Expect in Counseling: My primary therapeutic style incorporates person-centered techniques, Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness-based interventions. I am also DBT and IFS informed. I enjoy and have experience working with diverse populations providing counseling for individuals, families, children, and couples. My areas of clinical foci include anxiety disorders, depression, relationships/marriage, college mental health, and parenting. I am an empathetic counselor who creates a safe space that is free of judgement for my clients; making it conducive to increasing their sense of self-worth and overcoming barriers to meeting their goals. |
