About me
Hello, my name is Morgan Smith and I am a graduate student studying to receive my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through the University of the Cumberlands. I hold a dual Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice through Marywood University. Throughout my career and education, I have worked with a variety of individuals presenting with a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, ADHD, life transitions, boundary and communication issues, trauma, and general stress. I have experience facilitating various support and treatment groups for men, women, and adolescents. What to Expect in Counseling I utilize a person-centered approach and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) when working with clients. I believe in building a strong therapeutic relationship, empowering the client to build on their strengths, exploring the world through their unique viewpoint. I aim to provide a safe space where clients can feel heard, understood, supported, and accepted. I am particularly passionate about working with new or expecting mothers/parents as they navigate the challenging yet rewarding stages of parenthood and all that comes with it. My door is open to anyone looking for support and am beyond thankful for your consideration in working with me! |
